The LCD display on my Fisher & Paykel WL80T65CW1 Aquasmart washing machine does not work. The back lighting does and the machine still washers, however you cannot change any options as you cannot see them. If I replace the display module, do you think this will fix the problem?

250. (11111010) SmartPump Loss Of Sync
This fault is normally as a result of the pump not starting. This fault is usually caused by an
object that has gotten into the pump, and is either under or on top of the impeller, which is
causing the motor to stall when it is trying to start.
Primary Source: Pump Stator Windings Open Circuit.
Action: Measure the resistances of the pump stator. For more information
refer to the AquaSmart service manual.
Secondary Source: Pump System.
Action: Follow procedures as for Fault Code 249.
Tertiary Source: Motor Control Module.
Action: Replace Motor Control Module.

You need to size set the LCD panel to your motor controller.
1. Press and hold the left SCROLL button,Then press HIGH EFFICIENCY button until two beeps are heard.
2. Press the SCROLL button to select machine size
(600 for WL70,650 for WL80).
3. Press the POWER button to set in memory.

this model is prone for the suspension rods to weaken and cause fault,fit new set of suspension rods

Yes the shop you bought it from. At only 12 months old the warranty should still apply.

The 1.6 Amp fuse is blown in the motor controller.

sounds like a size error . when you changed the display did you size your machine to the new display module?did you get the re-size set of instructions with the new display board? ring up where you brought the display from and i"m sure they can help. if not reply back and i will guide you thru it.
