I've got a P5K "Premium" Motherboard (with WiFi). I've hooked everything up and I can get to the Bios. But after about 5 minutes (give or take), the whole system shuts down. Everything appears to be functioning as it should. However, appearances can be deceiving. Just needing some starting points with what to check in the bios, or hardware, that I might have missed and can be done in less than 5 minutes.
If I've missed anything I'll add it on request. Thanks again for any help that can be provided.
Enter you're bios & head to CPU section. There should be a section to check CPU & motherboard tempture. Sit back & watch the temp settings. (Check for over-heating which can & will shut down the system). It's best to do this with the case closed. Normal operation.
Did you add thermal grease between heat-sink & CPU. Same can happen if memory over-heats.
