I have a linksys wireless router WRT120n, I've found out that my network is not secure -I want to secure my network, but the problem is i forgot the password for the setup page of the router I already tried to press and hold the reset button at the back of the router for 1min. still I cant access the setup page of the router using the default linksys password which is admin -please help me with my problem- _kingkongxxii-

You will need to check the setting of your wireless router.
Do you have any computer connected to the network?
Using one computer connected to the network, you can open the router page and check the wireless router settings.

If the Wireless device isn't secured, Secure it. Set up a SSID and Security Key(password). If it is secured, change the Security Key(password), Use the Linksys Setup Manual found here: http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT120N Always Secure your Wireless. If unsecure your signal, at best, COULD be use by anyone to connect to the web using your resources and slowing down your activity. At worst, use your signal for nefarious purposes causing you a great deal of Pain and Heartache, and MAYBE the FBI knocking at your door.

To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down and put it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

Are you trying to connect to the wireless network?

If your wireless network is secured then make sure that you have the correct network key of your network.
If you are not sure about the security settings then open the setup page of the router and check the wireless settings.

If you are using old Linksys router then make sure that your router is running on a latest firmware.

In the top right corner, you will find airport icon. Click on Airport and you will see your network. Select your network. Enter the password and you will be able to go online.

Looking for the Linksys WRT120N default password? You probably have little reason to access your router on a regular basis so don't feel too bad if you've forgotten the WRT120N default password.

However, when you're troubleshooting a network problem and need to get in to the device, the WRT120N default password suddenly becomes very important.

For most versions of the Linksys WRT120N, the default password is admin. As with most passwords, the WRT120N default password is case sensitive.

Help! The WRT120N Default Password Doesn't Work!

At some point during the life of your particular Cisco Linksys WRT120N, the default password, username, and/or IP address might have been changed.

In most cases, if the Linksys WRT120N default IP address has been changed, the new IP address for the WRT120N will be the same as the default gateway IP address configured for your network connection.

Are you looking for the wireless password or the password of the router?
If you want the password of the router, then try the default password of the router. If the default password doesn't work then you will need to reset the router and reconfigure the router.
If you are looking for the wireless network password, then you will need to open the set up page of the router. Is there any computer connected to the router ? If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router. Or any other computer which is able to go online using the router. Check the IP address on that computer. open the set up page of the router. Set up page of the router is the page where you will find all the settings of the router. under the wireless section you will find the wireless network password
