Hi, I recently bought the new LG shine cu720, it's a great phone! However i have a promblem with my bluetooth,my visibility is on but whenever i try to bluetooth to someone or them to me they cannot find me and i cant find them. please help

This phone is good except for the bluetooth! I thought my headsets were at fault, but my roomates phone connected fine with them. Had my first phone replaced by AT&T after about 2 months of the phone working fine. I had LG replace my second phone after the bluetooth went out after about another 2 months. Then I got a 3rd phone, that bluetooth lasted less than a week! The lady on the phone said that LG is aware that there is some sort of problem. A superior tried to get into contact with me a few days later after the report of the 3rd phone failing, but I was in class and unable to answer. So now I am going to keep calling every day until I get a new phone, and it wont be the CU720.
To all you guys that have the LG Shine, dump it ASAP. Take it back to AT&T and tell them there is a defect or you can try your luck with LG, but they will keep your phone for two weeks so make sure you have a backup.
All those phones just need dumping but you need to take them and have them reflash or replaced.

I got a refurb from ATT for $50, no problems at all with these things. I would suggest anyone with a choice between new and refurb actually picks a refurb. If you send in for a repair ask for what ever they are doing to the refurbs.
Dump it...last month i purchased the LG shine and the other day i was trying to contact my sister with blue tooth to get a ringtone from her. The blue tooth would not connect never the less we were sitting right next to one another. After the tenth try or so i called at&t. all they said was i can try to wait it out there aware of the issue.

make sure your visability is on, the bluetooth function is on (on the phone) also make sure your bluetooth is powered on. as far as pairing with another phone is concerned, is the phone the same provider? you cannot pair with different providers.

I've tried to pair it with my Plantronics Voyager 510 and my Aliph Jawbone. No Luck I'm frustrated should I just try to return my phone?
I have the same problem too, Worked fine for a week connecting to a Motorola Hands Free Car Unit and VTech In Home Wireless Phone but then wont find. If I take out the battery it will find again but then will not reconnect once disconnected. Got a replacement phone and same thing although didnt even work a week. ATT says they dont warranty the blue tooth for anything but a head set. So not sure if this problem is unique to this phone or other cells as wekk
I have the same problem. I called AT&T and had them replace my phone, but when the replacement got here I had the same problem. I can't locate any Bluetooth devices no matter what I try. I think it's a P.O.S.....
I have the same problem. I'm on my 2nd phone and the same problem persist!! This model {CU720} will pair with whatever bluetooth devices but then eventually fail. For this phone to have such a hefty price tag, I would not have expected LG use cheap crappy components only to fail after a short period of time..very dissapointed. Amazing for so many people experiencing the exact same problem and they are not addressing it but everyday they are advertising it like its the HOTTEST thing!!!!

I had my ear piece connected and worked fine until i decided to disconnect it and try another hands free blue tooth device when IT ALL OF A SUDDEN there was a connectivity issue !!! OMG ! i think once you connect and then disconnect it... you suddenly lose your blue tooth connectivity feature completely.... T_T

I have the same problem and am in the process of acquiring a new phone. Unfortunately, I cannot exchange it, but I am left with dealing with the warranty and replacements until the warranty runs out. I called LG and was told that the problem is due to the metal battery plate, causing interference with bluetooth signal. I am highly skeptical that this is the problem, especially when I tried pairing to my handsfree headset without the battery plate in place. LG is aware of the problem and the tech has assured me that it is repairable, if you can afford to leave your phone with them for 2 weeks. I think that all of us that were bought into the form over function are screwed. I got another 1.5 years until upgrade. I hope you all have less time than that. Good luck.
