My motherboard (intel DG41WV) is starting but not giving output to screen. I have cheked cables sokets. Even i have cheked to other screen. but problem is still. all peripherals (fan, cd-rom...etc) are...

Jumpers:
Motherboard installed in computer case;

A) Keyboard Jumper Block

3-pin jumper block, Top of motherboard/ left side. Near the mounting hole, and 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable connector,

GENERAL example of a 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable, and it's respective connector on the motherboard,

[ This power cable MUST be plugged into the motherboard.
It is power for the Intel processor ]

3-pin jumper block.
Starting at the TOP coming down;
Pins 3, 2 and 1.

Jumper cap should be on Pins 2 and 3.
(Enables the Keyboard wake-up feature. Factory default setting is Enabled. Pins 2 and 3)

B) Clear CMOS Jumper Block.

BOTTOM right corner of motherboard. 3-pin jumper block.
It is to the Left of the bottom/left SATA connector.
It is immediately to the Right of the motherboard mounting hole.

Starting at the Top, and going down towards the bottom edge of the motherboard;
Pins 3, 2, and 1.

Jumper cap should be on Pins 1 and 2.

When you changed the SMPS, do you KNOW for a fact it is a good one?
Did you plug the 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable, into the motherboard?

What COMS setting/s did you change?
I would go back into BIOS Setup, and set that menu screen back to the factory default settings.

I need to reinstall windows cause its corruped i can't get into the bios to restart pc from cd cause i don't know the pas word please help

You will have to reset the BIOS to factory. To do this, you will have to open the case and expose the motherboard. The motherboard will have a set of pins that when touched together, it resets the bios and wipes the password. You will have to locate this set of jumpers and short them.
Look at a map of the board, and look for the reset jumpers here:

If you can not find the reset jumpers, you can just take out the battery on the motherboard. It is silver, round and the size of a quarter. A simple clip holds it in place. remove it and put it back in.
Then put it all back together, and reboot. press the del key or F1 key durring the begining of the boot cycle and you will be able to able to access the BIOS to change the boot sequence.

Make sure the CD/DVD drive is connected and has power.
You didn't say if the drive is IDE or SATA. If it is IDE, make sure the BIOS has IDE enabled.
Check the 'boot order' in the BIOS and make sure the CD/DVD drive is first.

hi there should have been a cd that came along with your card. u insert this disk windows automatically detects the disk and installs the driver. if thats not the case then go to mycompter->right click->properties-hardware-device manager there u wil l find a yellow uqestion mark in your display adapter u click that and click connect to internet to find my driver. then windows automatically searches the right driver.

No onboard video with my new MCP6P M2+ mainboard

Try removing the bios battery for 30 seconds then boot the pc, this will clear the bios. Maybe the bios was misconfigured. Else you can jump the "clear cmos" pins on your motherboard, same affect as removing the battery. If that doesn't work try different ram, it's possible the ram is not compatible. Sounds plausible being that there were no post beeps. Good luck.

I can detect no SATA' HDD

The ECS PM800-M2 only supports SATA 1.0 hard drives. If you are using a newer SATA 3.0 hard drive, there is a jumper on the hard drive which has to be set to SATA 1.0 in order for the VIA 8237R chipset southbridge (which Is on your ECS PM800-M2) to recognize the newer SATA 3.0 hard drives. This Is applicable to all motherboards with the Viatech PM800 / 8237R chipsets. Note: the location for the SATA 1.0 / 3.0 jumper varies on each brand of hard drives. Also check If SATA Is enabled In the BIOS and select IDE mode.

No display with AGP card installed.

If one of the components are not porperly connected or has faluire...the system boot up is halted with some beeps...You need to check whether the RAMS a properly fixed...processor cooler can be losened...

EliteGroup GeForce 6100Sm-M Problem

4 things can cause this MB to do as you mention.
Bad CPU or the MB is not sensing the CPU fan and is protecting CPU from overheating.
Bad or inconpatible memory, If multiple sticks use only 1 at a time, This MB is known for having problems with both slots filled most of the time bios resaves can fix this but just set up with 1 first.
Reset the bios, Make sure the reset jumper is set back correctly.
Make sure it post without any extra harware hooked up first then add them.

The beeps are a old style of signaling the problem, You can find charts online that will tell you what the beeps mean long and short.

This is for the EliteGroup P4VMM2 motherboard. Please remove any newly added video card. One done boot the PC. Windows should load & function (Including video display). Yes?
Restart the PC & press the delete key every 2 seconds untill the bios menu loads. Opem the manual to page 33. Change the Primary Graphics Adapter from PCI to AGP. Save & exit the bios. The system will begian to restart. Press & hold the power button untill the PC shuts down. Unplug the power cord from the PC. Install the AGP card & connect any additional power to the video card if required. Double check all data & power connections for good fit before closing case. Re-connect the power cord & start up the PC. You should have display. Allow windows to finish loading & install the AGP software. Than update windows.
Who ever heard a single long beep. This means the video card may not be seated fully & or correctly. Remove the AGP card, blow out the AGP slot with canned air. Take some alcohol dripped onto a cotton swap. Clean the AGP's copper contacts & clean/wipe the copper within the AGP slot as best as possible. Allow time for alcohol to dry. Re-insert the AGP card, firmely & evenly.

Mike thats it in a nut shell the only way to get the agp or pci
solt to take a video card is to set the switch in bios no jumpers
etc. in a sense hosed
