GE oven - SHUTS OFF ON IT'S OWN
I have a built-in GE Electric oven - model #JTP20B0F7BB. It shuts off in the middle of cooking sometimes, but not all of the time. It does it about 1 out of 4 times that I use the oven. Any help would be appreciated?
Hello, you will probably need to pull it out and put it on something. Make sure the breaker is off to it before you test it. There is a thermostat in the very back that could be bad, check for continuity on that. Also check for continuity on the bake and broil element terminals itself, even though you have checked it to ground. If those check good, then the problems is in the control board. Thanks
Morison,
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?
HI, This code is indicating that the main control board has failed. This will require you to have the damaged circuit board replaced, asap. This type of damage that has occur, is not repairable. The board must be replaced.
