I think it might be very helpful to first know (before trying to convert your video file format to play on your mp3 player) which formats are supported on your device. I believe that the 4GB Insignia will support several file formats, including avi, MPEG2, MPEG4, mov, and several others. You may be able to find a full list if you check for it on a google search engine.

I bought my sansa mp3 4gb from radio shake but i don't know how to transfer music from cd or internet to my mp3, I tryed , I instaled the cd to my computer but it didant say any think about how to transfer...

The easiest way is to use Windows Media Player to Sync the songs you would like on it. Plug the MP3 player into the computer, go the the Sync tab of Media player and add songs to the list. When you are done adding to the list simply click Sync.

The other way would be to go under My Computer and open the MP3 contents by right-clicking on Explore and copy and pasting the songs, video, or photos into the right folders. The video will have to go through the Sansa Media Converter first though to be in the correct format.

CAN'T VIEW MY FILES AND FOLDERS ?

It may be just the USB working mode of the player. The USB mode has to be set to either mass storage to view file/folders in Windows Explorer, or the other mode for Syncing with special mp3 player software such as Rapsody. NormalIy the USB mode is "automatic", but sometime this doesn't work or gets set off of automatic. So try setting the USB mode in the player's options. Is that doesn't work, please advise.

Insignia sport 4gb

reset the player. You will lose all of your songs that are on the player and have to re-add them.
If it is still acting up, take it back to the store and exchange it. I had this problem many times.

Technical assistance

Well the songs you are trying to put on your mp3 player are probably too big. You can change your settings in Windows Media Player or (whatever program you use to sync the songs) to convert the songs to mp3 format and change the quality. I suggest changing it to 128 or lower quality. Hopes this helps you out.

Insignia 4gb / video mp3 player

You'll need to erase the internal and external memory, then re-add all your files.

You can use Windows Explorer to transfer files to your insignia sport player. First, in the settings on your player, go to Settings, USB Mode, Connection Type and select File & Folder. Then, plug your player in to your USB cable. Windows XP should automatically find your player and make a new drive letter in Windows Explorer. Simply drag and drop your files from your c drive to the new drive for your player. You'll notice that when you delete the files on your new drive for your player that it doesnt remove them from your player. You'll need to use your player (settings, system, erase internal) to erase internal (and external), but after that when you add new files, they will be added to the player when it does the profiling after you disconnect the USB cable. Transferring music to Insignia MP3 player

When using your media player... you need to first figure out if you are using windows media player 9 or windows media player 10. Also what windows are you using on your computer, that makes a difference as well... Make sure you have the mp3 player plugged in properly and then...Once you are in your windows media player go to your lib tab... soon as you are in there then on the right side there should be section on where you could build a lib list. Meaning you should be able to pick the songs in your lib and just drag them over. On the bottom you should see something that says sync... Once you've choose your songs and dragged them over... all you should have to do is press the sync button and it will do all the work for you from there. And it should let you know when its complete...mine does. Hope I could help you.
