That is an option when you are installing the operating system. Choose to delete and recreate the windows partition.
Here are the details:

Boot your computer with your Windows CD-ROM inserted. When you get the 'Press any key to boot from CD' message, do so. (If you don't see that message before Windows starts, restart Windows, press the key you're prompted to enter for your PC Setup program, and change the boot order so your CD drive is first.)

At the 'Welcome to Setup' screen, press Enter. The R (repair) option takes you to the Recovery Module, which is useful if Windows won't boot, but it's no help with a reinstallation. Soon you'll be told that there's already a Windows installation on the computer. Press r for a repair reinstall or Esc to begin a complete, destructive one. For a complete restore, select your C: partition and press Enter. When you get the warning that says an operating system is on that partition, press c. When you are asked your partition preference, select Leave the current file system intact (no changes). When you're told that a Windows folder (or Winnt folder for Windows 2000) already exists, press l ('ell') to delete it and create a new one. Follow the series of prompts. When the installation program asks for your name, enter temp.

If this answers your question, I'd appreciate 4 thumbs. I do this for fun and do not get paid.

I WANT TO REBOOT MY NETBOOK

Reboot the computer and as soon as it turns on start tapping F9 repeatedly. Do this immediatly after hitting the power button. If Windows Starts to load - you will need to reboot and retry.

Hitting F9 should take you to the recovery partition option. If you select to run it - it will erase everything on your laptop and set it back to factory defaults.

If you have more questions, consult the manual that you can download here: http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=20&s=1&m=Eee%20PC%20R101&os=17&hashedid=GhBUCjHj4BRr7ndV

Hope that helps!

Low level format from the bios or depending on your laptop, by pressing one of the F keys will go into recovery mode. This will wipe everything and reinstall everything.

Want to wipe out/erase puter

Do a low-level format of the hard-drive. This will remove the operating system as well so it will no longer boot.

My netbook boots only to the word window

Sounds like the HDD is corrupted what you need to do is goto the drives manufactures website and download their hard drives utilities software,

follow the instructions on how to make a bootable disk then shut down the computer reboot and run the utilities software, if you have nothing you need to save off the drive, Then do a low level format this can take upto an hour or more depending on how big the drive is

once you have done the low level format (this wipes everything off the drive) then reboot the system and format the drive in windows this will rewrite the master boot record in windows format

some manufactures don't have a format utility because there are so many differentsystem file formats.

When i bought my laptop at comp usa in kissimmee fl. i didn,t get no reboot disck or un lock keys for the computer about a year and a half ago is there a way i can get them now the model no. is psag8u-05g0...

if you did not get disks with your laptop then most likely there is a utiliry installed that will create the disks for you from images saved by the manufacturer. also some manufacturers are including a restore option that loads everything you need by selecting restore during boot up.

Reboot my laptop

If you want to complete erase the hard drive and start fresh you will need an operating system disc, there no other way, other than going through and manually deleting every file and program that you don't want. Doing a system restore back to the earliest point, will still leave any installed files and programs intact.

How do i reboot my laptop

You will need to use your recovery or operating system disc. At start up press F10 for the boot menu and select boot from CD. Skip the repair section of the set up and it will take you to the next section in which you can delete or erase the drive and install a fresh copy of the operating system.
