This drill has a 2-level chuck handle. one is slightly larger diameter, or is closer to drill body. It is fixed to the motor shaft. Smaller diameter, or forward one is the adjustment. Hold the rear/larger one stationary and twist the smaller/forward one as if you were opening a water bottle with a really tight lid.

SOURCE: chuckless drill stuck tight with drill bit in

if you trap the chuck in a bench vice or alike and then use the drill in reverse in short bursts until it loosens a good spray with wd40 will also aid the situation

How to fix remove part of Brocken round file out of cylinder head What type drill bit to drill down the centre of round file 3.5mm x 112. The file is 5mm across

That file is incredibly hard, harder than your drill bits which will wander off and drill the cylinder head itself.

Can you remove it from the other side?

How to change drill

If you asking about the bit usually trap two hands around the head of drill where the bit goes in and twist hands in opposite directions to loosen, you will see a centre grasp of two or three which is where you drop the drill bit into or remove from. Do either of these add or remove then tighten the same way you removed. Make sure the drill bit is centre and straight and well seated within the grasps when tightening back up.

HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE BIT!?

There is a collar around where you put the bit in. Grab that collar with thumb/forefinger and pull it away from the drill, remove bit.

Try to keep your drill straight and try a bit harder - looks like you were drilling something very heavy.

Cannot remove drill bit from self locking chock

If you are having trouble turning the chuck to remove the drill bit just wrap a cloth around it a couple of times and use a pair of adjustable channel lock pliers to give yourself a mechanical advantage. If you have loosened the chuck but can't remove the bit just clamp onto the bit with a pair of vise grips and tap them a few times with a hammer while a friend holds the drill for you.

Matika hammer drill - bit stuck

The spade bit sold with the hammer drill was actually too large for the hammer drill. We found that the spade bit had over heated (not from overuse or heavy use as only two ladies were using the hammer drill) but because the bit was too large it put too much weight on the drill. The bit had to be removed from the chuck using a hammer and force causing a bearing to come out and the chuck now needs repair. Solution repair the chuck on the hammer drill and buy a lighter spade bit. Then continue jackhammering the cement out of the shower cubicle.
