Hi, my tv has suddenly just stopped working, first it was a problem i had with sound when it was connected to my dvd player. i fiddled with the wires/switched cords/switched dvd players, nothing. then i tried just playing a regular vhs without the tv hooked up to my dvd player, it played for a good 4 seconds then just completely shut off, now it will not turn on for more than 2 seconds. Do you believe this is something that can be fixed? Or should i look into a new tv?

One way i have found is to (no joke) take the back panel off the TV BECAREFUL THERE IS HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE! Look to see if there is a DVD stuck in it, if so remove it. If this doesnt work let me know, i have other possible solutions

try pluging cable wire directly to the tv to see if you get a picture you may have shorted out the rca connection may need to be repaired good luck.....

I have the same problem with my Emerson VCR. When the ADD button is flashing, just press the menu button to exit the menu. It will add. That's the only thing I know to do. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
