Per the user manual:
1 Make sure the printer is on.
2 Lift the printer (scanner unit) until the scanner support keeps it open. The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.
3 Squeeze the tabs on the cartridge lids, and then lift the lids.
4 Remove the old cartridges. Store them in an air-tight container or dispose of them.
5 If you are installing new cartridges, remove the stickers and tape from the bottom of the cartridges.

In order to replace the cartriage, please follow the steps below:
1 Keep the printer on.
2 Lift the printer (scanner unit) until the scanner support keeps it open.
The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is

3 Squeeze the tabs on the cartridge lids, and then lift the lids.
4 Remove the old cartridges.
5 If you are installing new cartridges, remove the stickers and tape from the bottom of
the cartridges.
6 Insert the new cartridges. Make sure the color ink cartridge is secure in the left carrier
and the black cartridge is secure in the right carrier, and then snap the lids closed.
7 Lift the printer (scanner unit) and push the scanner support back while lowering the
printer (scanner unit) until it is closed.
Open the top panel of your inkjet printer. You should be able to access the ink cartridges once the top is open. Some printers will reposition the cartridge carriage to provide you better access.
Remove the old cartridge from the carriage. Depending on the printer, you may need to press down on the cartridge and then pull outward to remove it. Other printers may require you to lift the cartridge out of the printer.
Unpackage the new replacement cartridge completely. New cartridges will often include plastic strips and protective packaging that must be removed before you can insert the cartridge into the printer.
Insert the new cartridge into the printer. This will be the reverse of removing the old cartridge.
Close the top panel of your inkjet printer and allow the printer to detect the new cartridge. You should now be able to print using your newly changed inkjet cartridge.
