I have a JVC 20 GB camcorder. Model GZ-MG2-1U. Before I tried to install an 8MB SD I selected on the menu to protect all. I turned the camera off, installed the SD card, turned the power on and then I went to the menu to format the SD card. I received an SD card error. So I tried again, noticing all files I had stored on the hard drive had been erased. I then tried a 2MB SD card. I got the same message "SD card error.
