Print is repeating on next page

That type of problem is usually caused by the fuser assembly. The heat roller is coated with a Teflon film. When this coating get worn down some of the toner stays on the fuser and is deposited on the next page. You will need to replace the fuser assembly to correct the problem. The part number is RM1-4728 They are available from Ebay. It does take a bit of time to install one and you will need the service manual to do it.

I am facing frequent tearing of fuser film code 00007.The engg. advised n converted 4570 canon to reduced speed approx 30-35 copies per min. but the problem persists after every 18000-20000 copies .Please...

Hello,
if the fixing film keeps to wear down rapidly, the problem can be few things.

  1. Maybe the pressure between fixing film and silicon roller isn't good ( replace silicon roller, silicon roller bushings, and execute the nip check in service mode )
  2. Maybe that the fixing film isnt Canon and therefore lower quality.
  3. Maybe the fixing heater ( beneath the fixing roller ) has "nose" or place where the fixing film gets stucked or wraped. Change the fixing film assembly ( Canons film + heather in assy )
  4. TO BE SURE, THE BEST SOLUTION IS TO CHANGE THE WHOLE FIXING ASSY with new one.
Hope that helps!

PS for service manual you leave your e-mail...

920 service error fuser

This problem (920 Fuser Error) occurs when the Fuser is below temperature while printing. The 920 error caused by low line voltage can sometimes be cleared by turning the machine off and on. You should replace the fusser and reassemble it.

You can also follow these steps:

Note that you do this on your own responsability.

Remove the fuser heater cable from the power supply (CN602). If there is no continuity in the heater wire, replace the fuser heater and thefuser oil coating roller. If there is no continuity in the thermostat, or it does not equal 240K Ohms at25 degrees C (room temperature), replace the fuser thermostat and the fuser oil coating roller. If the thermal fuse is open, just replace it.

If there is continuity, and the thermostat is good, only replace the power supply. If this doesn't fix the problem, replace the printer controller board.

My HP Laserjet P2055dn prints out with a shadow of everything printed.

Hello,

The ghosting is caused by the fuser assembly. The main user roller has a Teflon coating that keep the toner from sticking, when the coating wears off you start getting the ghost printing like you are having. You can get replacement fusers online from many sources, just do a Google search for P2055DN Fuser. They are user replaceable, only requiring a Phillips screwdriver to replace.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

Ink smudges on the right side of the paper

Hi,

Your problem is due to a worn fuser unit (upper fuser roller).

The teflon coating has worn again, alowing the toner to stick to the roller and then "repeat" about 3x down the paper (getting fainter each time).

You need to order a new fuser unit.

RM1-1083-070CN Fuser assembly - 110 VAC - For LaserJet 4250/4350 series RM1-1083-070CN Fuser assembly - 220 VAC - For LaserJet 4250/4350 series

Make sure you order the currect voltage (US or UK)

Heater Lamp

Hello,
The short answer to your question is "Yes" it is included in the fuser assembly!

Long answer:
The heater lamp is an integral part of the fuser assembly. It is located inside and heats up a metal bar or roller depending on the fuser's style then then heat actually melts the powdered toner into the paper. The heater lamp usually is not easily removed from this assembly. If you did want to do it yourself then you've got to be real careful as it is very fragile and no oils from your fingers must be applied to it as it will shorten its life.

Good Luck!

Scratch on hot roller

No, there is no way to repair the roller. It has a teflon / silicone coating (similar to a frying pan), and must be replaced.

The fuser unit (has the upper roller, lower roller, and other parts) is usually replaced as an assembly. I'm not sure on that particular model, but it may be user replacable.
