The solution just offerred is idiotic. I already did it weeks ago. I know the part is no longer made. I need the names of parts places in the US that have a huge inventory of very old parts. Already have searched internet for this part - no luck. So far, very unhappy with your assistance.

Hi! This part is no longer available online. Try the electronic parts surplus store near your area, they may have kept one. Hopefully you find one. Have a nice day and thank you for using Fixya!

Tappan microwave vent motor and cooktop lights not working

see this test . God bless youThis microwave oven repair is only for over the range(OTR) models. First, with microwave still installed, gain access to the control board and check for voltage from the fan relay. If you are not getting voltage from the fan relay on the control board, and your display says fan is on, then you need a new control board.
Again, this microwave oven repair is for OTR models. If you know your light bulbs are good and your display is telling you that they should be on, check the light relay on your control board. If no voltage is found at that relay, then replace the control board. Otherwise your problem is in the light socket, wiring, or wire connectors. You can get to all of that by unscrewing 6-8 screws under the unit and taking the bottom panel off.If voltage is present and the wiring that you can see looks good, then you will have to take the unit down and test for voltage at the fan itself. If the voltage is present there, then test the motor itself and/or start capacitor for the motor. The fan motor assembly will slide out of the top of the unit after you take it down and unscrew 2 screws. Below, in the list of component testing, you will see how to test the motor and start capacitor. get the part from

I have a 6 year old side-by-side Frigidaire refrigerator (FRS3R4E). It has the click-buzz-click syndrome as below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyAqLvOIstw&feature=player_embedded I replaced relay...

The sound you describe is probably the relay trying to start the compressor and the overload clicking on and off when the compressor does not start. Turn the control for the refrigerator off for about 1 hour and turn it back on. If the compressor starts the relay and overload should be replaced, the compressor is probably good. There is a new product that eliminates all three components.
ERP-410 PowerStart

PowerStart (Relay, Capacitor and Overload) This 3-in-1 Combination relay, capacitor, and overload stock# ERP410 comes totally pre-wired and includes wire nuts to fit just about any application that requires 120V current AND the compressor is between 1/4 through 1/3 HP. This will replace all 3 electrical components on all capillary refrigeration systems; commercial, domestic, and in freezer systems.

My ge spacemaker over the counter xl 1800 MW owen just buzzes when u put the fan, on or try to use the owen, the owen , doesnot work, the fan will buzz but will work, the owen buzzes and does not work?

I would bet your oven's model number is a JVM185#xx### or JVM186#xx###.

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is a failed capacitor on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Spontaneous fan on/off

Q - The fan in my microwave oven is not running will this hurt my microwave?
A - YES, the fan cools the magnetron and electronics, take the microwave in for service, most fans are not too expensive to replace.
Many thing can do this but, common things are....loose high voltage wire.....poor solder joint on board.....magnetron.....power relay.....

I have a Panasonic NN-E273S microwave, it appears to work correctly but there is no heat, please help

If it is running, including plate rotating, and there is no heat, then you need to replace a part called magnetron.

The magnetron is located behind a protective plate on the internal side of the owen.

Here you see a general diagram, and you can also buy the part. Browse with the mouse on top of the picture to see the magnetron.

Here you can also get parts and diagrams.

If you want to call atechnician you can use the number listed on the owner manual.

My ge microwave after running for about 3 to 4 minute it shuts down and will not start up again for 30 minutes model # TH903659B JVM 1650 JVM 1651 what is the problem thanks

If the fan comes on when you put the unit into a cook cycle and all sounds normal otherwise, you most likely have a bad magnetron tube. (Google "GE magnetron failure" and watch how many complaints and articles pop up). The tube overheats and trips the thermal relay causing the unit to shut off until it cools back down and comes on.
Very, very common problem on these models although GE will not admit it.

F82 code

If it's a Panasonic commercial model (NE1757,NE2157), check the two fuses first. If one is blown, first take a look at the upper door switch to be sure it's activating. If that and the bracket look ok, you most likely have one of the following parts that need to be replaced...
Fan motor, HV Transformer, or Magnetron tube (or a combination of). Also look at the two white wires going to the middle relay on the lower relay board. If they're burned, you'll need this board and possibly one of the above parts as well.

Panasonic NN- S760BA heating problems

Chances are it has a bad magnetron. If you decide to have it serviced, I would definitely recommend that you contact a servicer who is authorized by Panasonic. You can find them here: http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vServiceLocator?storeId=15001 Good luck.
