Hi! Please try this... Remove the cartridges and shake them a bit. They may need to be shaked before installation. After installing the cartridges please run CLEANING. Cleaning process sips the ink from the cartridge. Try it and see how it goes. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Says there is more than one magenta cartridge installed

Try replacing the cartridges one by one, one at a time to find out which cartridge is causing this problem. May be there is a magenta chip on one of the othercartridges.

Epson 9600 magenta won't print - have new cap assembly installed

The ink should come out of the cart. if not the cart is the problem at this point try anothere magenta if that does not shore it up then you need to then start looking at the print head where it goes it itself now the store you bought the ink from will give you a replacement no questions asked sometimes even if you dont got the reciept. Try those steps you be glad you did.

Printer will not print black.

Try removing the magenta completely and shut the lid then open again then insert the new magenta and see if the ink device level on the PC shows full. Sounds like the system needs resetting. Alternatively change the magenta and power on and off the printer and see if this resets it.
