Turn off printer and turn back on after 30 seconds to give it a chance to reset. Make sure the printer is plugged in straight to the power outlet in the wall. Bypass any surge devices or power strips, even if the printer previously worked correctly with these, as they can cause low amperage problem which can trigger a false printhead error. You can also try to plug the printer to another known working power outlet just to eliminate the power source as a possible cause of the issue. If error continues, printer may require service. Contact Lexmark technical support or an authorized service provider for further assistance.

Canon ImagePrograf 750 Error: Execute printhead cleaning. If this message is still displayed, replace the printhead. Printing stopped.

It sounds like you have already tried a few steps to address the issue. Here are a few more things you can try:
  1. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  2. Check to make sure the printer is not in an error state. If it is, clear the error and try printing again.
  3. Try cleaning the print head manually. To do this, remove the print head and use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean it. You can also use a cleaning solution designed specifically for print heads.
  4. Check the ink cartridges to make sure they are installed correctly and have enough ink. If they are low or empty, replace them.
If none of these steps work, it may be best to contact Canon support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or offer a repair service for your printer.

Canon error codes

the error code indicates high temperature issue of the printhead

first of all please turn off the unit....unplug the power cable
now remove the cartridge...manually slide the carriage assembly\ printhead back and forth

clean the golden contacts of the cartridges and the printhead with a cotton swab dipped in little alcohol

once done just turn on and check the status

let me know if you still recieve the error or not

in case after performing the above steps the issue still persists, then the unit may require service..maybe a printhead replacement

Error oxc18a0007

If you observe an INK SYSTEM FAILURE message or 'Oxc' error then the permanent PRINTHEAD may be electrically damaged (unfortunately it is not replaceable; you can verify this by performing the following):

To bypass INK SYSTEM FAILURE message please see the HP Printer Diagnostics Tests file (pdf) for instructions: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1813

Verify the permanent built-in PRINTHEADs electrical performance inside this legacy printer model by running the TAP 43 diagnostic test (either one of the procedures below applies to all printers which use HP02 or HP363 ink cartridges): For additional HP02 support information, please visit our HP02 system support page which includes videos of everything mentioned below: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1372

A.HP02 ink-series printers with KEYPAD (i.e. keypad numbers 1-9)

Ink system failure, everything was fine, i put new ink in just like i have many times before and now it won't print anything, it keeps telling me ink system failure on the monitor

This error usually means you are at the end of the life on the printhead or the printhead assembly has a defect causing it to stop working. You can try removing all of the cartridges with the machine on. once they have all been removed unplug the power cord from the socket (be sure printer is still on!) wait about 30sec-1min. then plug back in. the display will Read out of ink install and an icon for each missing color. Reinstall all cartridges and close cover. it will take a minute or 2 for it to cycle and prime the ink. The display should read ink Sysytem Failure, power down machine. Press Power button to shut down, leave for another 30sec. and then turn back on. If the error displays again you will have to contact HP for in warranty service or replacement options. Note: if you are out of Warranty it is a good idea to shop for a new printer via Costco, Walmart, or an Office Supply Store, it will save you $$$
(a friend had this issue and they were going to sell her a new printer for $30 more than staples plus shipping!)

How do I change the print head on a Xerox 8500?

Hi there,

How to remove a printhead
  1. Press the on-line / off-line key on the printer operator panel to set the printer off-line.
  2. Use the upper softkeys to scroll to the 'Replace printhead' card
  3. Press the softkey below the 'Replace printhead' card to enter the wizard.
An introduction screen displays the message 'Use this wizard to replace printheads. A roll is needed for calibration.'
  4. Press the key for 'Next'.
The screen displays the message 'Select roll to use'.
The system does a calibration at the end of the wizard. You can only calibrate on the defined media types. When calibration is not possible with the media available on the printer, the system asks you to load the correct media. When calibration is possible with one of the rolls, the system automatically uses the correct media roll. When calibration is possible with both rolls, use the lower softkeys to select the roll to use.
  5. Press the key for 'Next'.
The screen displays the message 'Carriage moving to centre position...' while the carriage moves to the centre.
The screen displays 'Open top cover.'
  6. Open the top cover. The screen displays the message 'Replace printheads' and the printheads that you must replace. Find the correct printhead number on the printhead carriage.
  7. Press the front of the printhead cover to unlock the cover.
  8. Open the printhead cover.
  9. Pull out the printhead and remove it.
How to place a printhead
  1. Remove the protective tape from the new printhead.
Do not touch the contact and nozzle areas of the printhead after you remove the protective tape.
  2. Place the new printhead in the printhead holder.
The printhead only fits in one way.
  3. Close the printhead cover.
  4. After you replaced the defective printhead, press the softkey for 'Next'
  5. The screen displays the message 'Make sure that all head covers are properly positioned.'
    Press the key for 'Done'.
The screen displays the message 'Close top cover.'
  6. Close the top cover.
The screen displays the message 'Carriage moving to home position...'
  7. The screen displays 'Calibrating...'.
The calibration process takes several minutes.
You can stop the calibration process at any time. Press the key for 'Cancel' to stop the calibration process.

Lexmark C510 - 930 Printhead Error

93x Printhead Error
Each printhead error has its own error code number. The error codes and their respective meanings are listed below, together with some actions you can take to resolve the problem.

ALL printhead errors:
If this is the first time the error has occurred, try turning the printer off and on.
Let it sit turned off for at least 20 seconds before powering it back on.
If powering off and on the printer clears the error, please continue using the printer but watch it to see if any printhead errors return.
If your printer continues to display a Printhead Error message, make sure it is plugged straight to the wall and not through a surge device or power strip. Power strips and uninterrupted power supplies can cause a low amperage problem in your printer. This can trigger a printhead error even if the printer has worked on this surge device for months.

If the printer continues to post a 930 Printhead Error, it thinks the wrong printhead unit is installed.

If the printer was recently serviced, make sure the correct parts were used. This is especially true if the parts replaced were either the printhead unit or the printer's engine/system board. It is in one of these two parts that the printer is detecting the problem. Note: If you are the person repairing such a printer, please be aware that parts from different, though similar, printer models may not be compatible with this printer. Also make sure to check the laser cable going from the printer's engine board to the printhead unit, as it reads that signal.
If the printer was not recently serviced before this error occurred and powering the printer off and on does not help, the printhead unit and possibly the laser cable or the engine/system board to this printer may need to be replaced.

If the printer continues to post a 931 Printhead Error, it thinks there is an error in the signal going to the laser or the Hsync part of the printhead assembly.
If the printer continues to post a 932 Printhead Error, it thinks there is an Hsync error occurring in the printhead assembly.
If the printer continues to post a 933 Printhead Error, it thinks there is a failure in either the Hsync signal or with the mirror motor unit of the printhead.
If the printer continues to post a 934 Printhead Error, it thinks there is a "lock" failure with the mirror motor assembly within the printhead assembly.
If the printer continues to post a 935 Printhead Error, it thinks the mirror motor unit within the printhead unit cannot reach its operating speed.

If powering the printer off and on does not clear any of these errors and it is already connected directly to the wall, your printer may require service. It could have a defective printhead unit or there might be a problem with the engine board or one of the printhead cables. Note: If you are the person repairing such a printer, check all of the cables going from the printer's engine board to the printhead unit for any damage. Also check the continuity across these cables.
