Spitting water out side?

ooh my this might seem a terrible thing but is actually quite comon to happen on a unit that has a clogged drain tube , you see theres a system (pan) inside that collects water from the condenser coils , and if this pan for what ever reason cant drain the pan backs up and finnaly the water level reaches the fan and yup ^$^ Hits the fan !!!! and out it goes with the air !! this pan is seperate from the bucket that collects the water so your not likely to see it from outside , to resolve it this units needs to be completly cleaned in/out

Water is dripping down. it doesn't go into the bucket

Need more information on the unit and nature of problem to properly answer, but instincts say it's likely either seriously out of level or the drain pan/tube are clogged. Check this first and come back with more details if this is not the case.

"Check drain" light is on

If the float switch is indicating a full drain pan, the light will be on and the compressor and fan will not run. Make sure the dehumidifier is installed level and the condensate drain is open allowing the drain pan to empty. Next check that the float is free to move up and down and the switch operates a required. Call the manufacturer at 1-800-533-7533 for parts and instructions if there is a problem wirh the float switch.

Permanent drain won't work... we attached hose but it keeps filling up and turning off indicating it its full. the hose is attached correctly but do we need to till the dehumidifier a tad backwards?

The pan itself should be sloped towards the back....ensure that the drain pan is installed correctly and that the hose or outlet fitting is not blocked . It will not do any harm to give it a little extra tilt especially if the floor isn't level

With an external pipe or even the bucket attached it seem to leak onto the floor below, what am i doing wrong

You may have a blockage in the metal or plastic collection pan under the coil that sweats to take water out of the air. Possibly some pet hair, lint etc. Have you cleaned it lately? Could the pan be rusted through somewhere? Is it level? Could you the collection bucket be cracked at or near the hose connection?

I have a old Kenmore 40 dehumidifier and the pan light is on. So, I checked the pan and there is only small amount of water. I dumped it and put the pan back and the light is still on. The light goes off...

That is normal. Check the little lever inside the bucket to see if it is moving freely.

There is a little red button that you can see inside the left front side (looking at the unit) when you remove the bucket. Press the button to see if it is sticking.
