I have a whirlpool AWO/ D4505 and have two problems:
1. The machine is noisy and bangs against the wall on spin.
2. There is washing powder/ conditioner left on my clothes and sometimes the clothes seem very wet, as if the washing machine hasn't drained fully.

Sounds like its just out of balance, the feet(1 at each corner) should have threads so you can balance it better by unscrewing or screwing back in as needed. Place a level on top of washer and see how out of balance it is and what corners you need to raise
ok unplug the washer remove the three screws across the bottom front of machine if you have a pedistal willbe between the pedistal and the machine. remove the access panell you will see the drain pump it has a threaded cap faceing the front remove this cap and clean out the lint trap attached clean out and debree in the pump housing you can see. reinstall cap, front cover, plug in and test.
posted by mikey b from st Helen's. after experiencing a similar fault on my wt741.i set about determined to find the cause of the noise. On spin, particularly fast spin the washing machine was making a horrendous vibrating banging noise.i eventually traced the fault to the lower concrete weight which simply needed tightening. which is held on with 4 10mm bolts.the weight can be easilyaccessed by turning the washer on its side.support the outer drum with a small block of wood against casing before lying on its side. you will need a 10mm spanner to get on bolts.hope this was helpful !
