You may accidentally delete these newly taken photos. In order to get back your lost photos, you should act carefully as below:
Step1. Stop using this camera in case that any new file would rewrite your original data.
Step2. Insert this camera to your computer and prepare to restore your data.
Step3. Download a deleted photo recovery freeware to your computer and start to retrieve all your deleted contents back:
http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/12/photo-recovery-after-delete.html
In fact, this freeware has ever successfully saved all the inaccessible data of my friend off from his camera. So, I believe it can also work successfully on your camera memory card, too.
Simply read more information of this freeware here:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/photo-recovery.html

Step4. Save and back up all the restored photos on a different memory card or drive in case of data recovery failure.

You should try photo recovery software to rescue the lost images, here are some you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music.

Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Be careful: Before your images are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the memory card in case the original files(your images) are overwritten.

I lost my install disc for Canon PowerShot A560 camera

You don't need to install your camera in order to use it.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Canon A560 will not erase pictures

Two possible solutions.

1. Apple users have reported that the switch on the memory cards performs the file lock function in either extreme positions Lock/Unlock. In some cases they have achieved success in centering the Lock/Unlock switch allowing access to the read/write operation of the memory card

2. Connect to PC
Access drive via windows explorer
Right click on drive (MEMORY CARD)
Select properties
Confirm that RO (Read Only) is not selected.
Selected RO
Try reading card
Repeat properties un-select RO
Try deleting files

If not successful card is likely defective

Hope this helps?

Send pictures through email

download the pictures onto your computer then attach them to the email, some digital images are too big to send through to some email accounts so i suggest you either resize them before sending them or zip them.

Deleting photos from camera

Hi,

For the Powershot A560:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Turn on the camera in playback mode.
2. Select a picture using the right or left arrow buttons on the back of the camera.
3. Press the button with an icon of a trash can.
4. A menu comes up:

Erase? Erase Cancel

5. Select "Erase", then press "FUNC. SET."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Page 18 of the Powershot A560 basic manual also explains how to erase individual images.

Page 73 of the advanced manual explains how to erase all images.

You don't need any software.

Image is blown out

Check the "Exposure Compensation" or something similar. If it is low, will make the photos look darker. So set that to "0" if it isn't already.
