I have a new Luminox Compass 9052, I have not been able to get the analog time to set to the correct time. I have the "local time" along with day, week, month, year setup but haven't been able to get the analog time to my correct time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Yes I also have the instruction manual and it doesn't make sense.

Try pulling the stem out. Turn the stem in the counter clock wise direction and see if that changes the date/day

SOURCE: Diesel DZ7069 watch - how do I set the correct date/time?

ok ,here it is .
Instructions To Set The Time On The Diesel DZ7071 Watch

Ok the first and most important thing to know about this watch is that it has an unusual timezone function (unusual to me at least). This allows the watch to display two different times. Time 1 (or T1) is the primary time (the time of the place where you spend most of your time!). The time can only be adjusted whilst the watch is in the T1 mode (T1 should be displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen). Holding down the top right button for one or two seconds will temporarily replace the current T1 time with the T2 time. Holding down this same button for several seconds will toggle the current time mode to T2 and the watch will continue to function in the second time zone until you toggle it back to T1.

The second most important thing to know is that you can only set the time whilst in the T1 mode. When in T1 mode hold down the top left button until the watch enters the settings menu (it should say "Light" at the top of the screen) now use the bottom left button to toggle through the settings menu until you get to the time settings. I think this part of the process if sufficiently straight forward so I'm not going to go into more details here, all I'll add is that once you have the watch set to the desired time mode 12h/24h time and date you just need to press the top left button to save the settings and return to the main time screen.

To set a secondary timezone time you have to first toggle the watch to the secondary time zone mode (hold the top right button for several seconds and the T1 indicator should change to T2 (and the watch will now be displaying the time that is currently set for the secondary timezone). This time is based on the primary time by simply telling the watch a number of whole hours ahead or behind the primary time. To adjust this hold down the top left button for several seconds, the watch will then say "offset" now use the buttons on the right to add or subtract hours from the primary time. Once set press the top left button again to return to the main time screen. Finally hold down the top right button for several seconds once more to return the watch to the T1 mode.

SOURCE: cant se time Citizen 8988-q02047 HSB wristwatch

In the time mode, press the upper right button for 2 seconds and the time display will flash. Then press the same button untill the entire time will flash, or both hour and minutes flash at same time. When the hour and minutes flash at same time, this adjust mode is the adjusting of the analog left display (A1). Now, press the lower button for adjusting de hour shown at the digital display that shows the same hour at analog display. This method is to adjusting the 8982 that is the "father" of 8988. Like a Citizen collector, and don´t know any website that you can view the setting instruction of 8988, only the 8982 is disposable here: http://www.citizenwatch.com/downloads/techguides/8982.pdf

I HAVE A LUMINOX 3100 I THINK IT LOOSES TIME IS THIS A SIMPLE FIX?

If any battery operated watch starts losing time or displaying the incorrect time, this is usually indicative of a battery going bad and needing replacement. My Luminox 3100 started lagging in time and I noticed that the second hand would intermittently stop. I also have a Suunto Vector (Digital) wrist-top computer and the times along with the compass, altimeter, light and alarms all started to act crazy and all it happened to be was the battery being run down. Coincidentally the Suunto has a battery gage that only appears and flashes during low battery charge.
BL: Try the simplest thing first, change your battery. Please be very careful not to break the O-ring on any watch that's waterproof/resistant as this will render the protection useless. Also if your watch is still under a manufacturer or vendor's additional warranty, get them to change it as not to void your warranty. 'Hope this helps!
