Navman iCN 550 GPS frozen on start up screen and makes a noise like it is stuck

Hi there my Navman iCN 550 GPS frozen on start up screen and makes a noise like it is stuck all the butons are inactive except the main power buton on the back

my navman has frozen when i typed in new address.it says:application error on/trunk/code/navigator/gul/apps/gulex.c

line:871 test:modal0 !=NULL

error duringGUI modal call.window not found

it wont turn off,wont respond at all.hopeing when battery goes flat it will reboot

Try hitting your reset button if you haven't already. I had the same problem and this worked for me.

I would read throught the manual see if your problem is describled
and it will tell you how to reset your nav and you could try loading the new sofware found here

I have a ICN 520 that wont start up . I downloaded updates for the first time since ive owned it ,it powers up but shows the Navman home screen.

This is usualy a sign that the data you downloaded is not in correct format or is corrupted

Continual "waiting for gps " message

the message should also read no mnsa data first... if these units are not in continual use,they get corrupt for some reason. all you can do is hope the gps fix will work itself out,otherwisw buy a new unit.

Navman icn 520 stuck on USB screen

I had this problem when I completely deleted the Backup folder from \My Flash Disk.

Restoring the backup folder allowed the 520 to operate properly again.

It is possible that you have a corrupted APPStartupSec.exe application. Without this file working it appears that the NAVMAN waits in USB mode for ever!
