I can't download pics from my hp photosmart M415 camera to my hp laptop, only vides are importing but not single pics. What should I do?

Apparently whatever program you're using to download is set to download only videos, not pictures. The best way to download pictures and videos from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures and videos from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo/video cataloging program, such as Picasa.

I need to download pictures on my M415 camera with a 4gb card from another camera. How can I do this ?

You can't. The M415 won't read the 4GB card.
Your best bet is to plug the card into a card reader connected to your computer. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files.

I can see the pictures on my camera (HP photosmart m415) but when I want to look at them on the computer only some of them will show. It says there is an error. It seems the computer doesn't...

Try data recovering by approaching data recovering professionals if any important data is in the card. Try formattiing the memory card once and it will be ok.but be sure you have recovered all the complete set of pictures from the memory card.

Can't download my pictures on my hp photosmart M517 to windows 7 64 bit computer.

Having received no response in two months, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

This is the driver for HP cameras, perhaps it's not being recognized by your computer?Check under "My Computer".
Your camera will see the card (SD) and put your pictures on automatically.
The fire wire cord you have is available everywhere for less than $10 too.

Digital camera that will no longer connect to the computer.

I don't know about your "picasa" software, and the importing procedure, but you could simply plug your card into the SD slot on your PC, and it will show up as a 'removable drive' located in "my Computer". You can open it and simply copy/paste the photos directly to any folder you wish. In other words, you don't need any specific software to import photos, and to me it's a much simpler process.
If you don't have a card reader on your PC, you can buy a USB to SD adapter to plug into your USB port for $15 +/-
