I recently bought a 20.5 cu.ft Haier upright freezer. Frost is forming at the top near the light on/off switch and the freezer constantly runs. It has not shut off in the three weeks since I purchased it. My question is, should it constantly run?

Sounds like frost bulidup from door being left open warm air gets in making frost and ice. Need to turn off for 24hrs or so to let all the ice melt compleatey then turn back on keep door closed run for 24hrs check Temp. shoud be about 0 to -5 Deg. if good start using.
first just take it out and clean that one carefully .And then set correctly and observe it,s working condition.then also it's not working means show it to ur near by worker those who repairs it
Is the compressor running the whole time? If so may have a problem with a refridgerant leak....check the compressor in the rear of unit, feel if its hot....may be as simple as a relay.
