Did you install the software that came on the CD-ROM that came with the LG device?

What software are you using to view your DVD? PowerDVD? VLC? Other?

Thats the message you get with a corrupt install or registry error.
You should try an uninstall, then use something like Advanced System Care to clean up your registry. While you're at it do a scandisk to correct file errors reboot the PC and try installing again.

drive mite be it is bad or need to check systems files and see if the power has beed turned off sometimes this happenes (go to add and remove hardware in control panel and add cdrw make sure you have the correct name of the cdrw you are installing .
