My Kenmore Series 70 Dryer will not start at all. No sensation of the start button doing anything when I push it. Thermal fuse continuity is good (0 ohms). Light goes off inside the dryer when I depress...

most likely its the push button that is bad. you can buy one from any appliance dealer that services a kenmore dryer. the part is a reasonable price. you also have to give them the model number and serial number. have a good day!!

Kenmore 70 series dryer Model 66702692

Air flow may be blocked or restricted.  Make sure the lint filter is clean and exhaust duct and outlet are not clogged.

Kenmore dryer 70 series flame ignites, but goes out after 5 mins

If it's gas, the coil valves get weak and are unable to hold themselves open when hot. First, check the exhaust vent. If it's clogged, it can't remove heat and it will shut off prematurely. Most likely the coil valves though.

Signal

Kenmore 70 series. Model/Stock 66702692 Serial MG2402832

Cycle Signal works but then won't shut off until I open up the dryer door - it just keeps buzzing for hours. Also the dryer will turn on if I close the door ( and arrow is within a number and not on off) without pressing the start button. So if door is closed - the dryer will run or buzz (depending on arrow). How do I fix this?

Thank you
