Could anyone possibly help me out? I have a logitech Webcam C300. I works fine for things like skype etc, but it won't let me post pictures or videos on facebook? It takes the picture, but when I click "share" it says it couldnt save the photo and to try again. Is it because its not a new webcam? Is there a software update I can download so it'll work on facebook?

Your web cam works with software. Any video chat programs or web programs will allow your camera to function. Like Yahoo, MSN, Google, Skype, ooVoo... So you would need a installed a computer program that would give you more control. Check with the manufacturer to see what they have that would give you this kind of control. logitech.com if it's a logitech CAM. If the software isn't compatible with the version of windows.. Then the CAM would only work with web based programs (Skype, ooVoo, yahoo......)

open skype click tools options select video settings make sure you have a tick in the anyone circle and people in my contact list

Try to check if this issue occurs on Skype only or with all programs

If it is for Skype only:
You need to check the Video Settings in Skype.
Start Skype > Options > Video Settings > select the webcam that you are using.
If the webcam is not on the list, download and install the driver from the manufacturer website
Try to set Automatically Receive Video from - select Anyone or Only people in my contact list.

Go into the skype setup and access the webcam from there and test setup sound / picture etc.

Ensure you tick a box that says "Show video as soon as connection is made" or similar.

Normally you can do video call.
While chatting and enable the video is possible with the latest version of skype 4.1.0.179

Another options also is to use is use a other software for video like msn or yahoo messenger.

can do one thing,, just uninstall the windows live messenger ,, once, and check with the skype,, then try installing windows live messenger....see whether it works..

if you need to get rid of logitech go into device manager devices
make sure cam is compatible with operating system
Set cam up with skype
Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on
Audio Settings
and set the Microphone and Speakers
to the computer Audio Card.
Then click on the Video Settings.
The camera if installed properly
will come up and show a picture.
Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.
