After installation in Windows 7 the game WarFront Turning Point does not seem to find the original CD and will not start. The error message is: "please insert the original war front: turning point disc to play the game" The strange thing is that he installation cd is loaded in the drive. Setting compatibility to XP sp2 in admin mode does not solve the issue... DCAN I GET A PATCH

Hi,

It Seems the CD is not orginal CD.So you have to buy new Original CD from store or you need a crack for this CD.If this is the original CD then XP SP3 all this types of issues are solved.

    upgrade sp2 to sp3 and check because many copy right errors have been solved in sp3 release.Some times the CD itself will contain patch or crack in it.Please check inside each folder of the CD.

oi - u gotta get, latest patches, then latest no-cd crack. the no cd keys, for appropriate versions, are on many sites - its legal if you like me bought the bloody game cos u dig warhammer and its a piece of poo.

fact is NAMCOM gave up support for this title for a long while ago.

so install, patch, then no cd patch, only trouble i've had with windows 7 has been graphics related since.

As it appears your game is a copied version of the original one, so that I won't start. Usually people try to find some crack files to get round this problem. Crack files are files that help you to get around problems like this sort, but you have to know how to use them. Usually there should be a instruction text file from where you have downloaded the crack files to tell you what to do with the crack files to solve your problem.

I recommend to return your game if you can and get the original. However, if you want to make this one works, let me know so I can try it and if I can install it on my Windows 7 then I will tell you how to do it.

Well you have prob tryed this but ill say anyway.. Click this in the following...
Start--Computer-Disc Drive (Etc)- Then look everywere on the cd files lol XD
It IS in there so keep looking.. Look in every folder. But try getting another version of the game.. Sounds stupid but tht could be the problem tht the dics data is buggered ..

War Front Turning Point in Windows 7 cannot find the original cd
download War Front Turning Point patch .this patch can running on any system include win7.This patch did not need original CD just Copy over the cracked executable located in the Crack dir on the DVD to
the \Run dir of your installation directory.
You can download from patch.ali213.net/showpatch/5004.html
This is chinese web site
Patch is 10.8MB. I'm not sure can mail if somebody need it.

Trying to install windows 7. said I needed
Are you installing within Windows? If so reboot your system with the Windows 7 system disc inside your cd rom, you should see message that says Press Any Key To Boot From CD at this point press any key. The system will load the installation files the it will ask you if you want to install or perform recovery you will select install, then it will ask you if you want to format your hard drive. Formatting your hard drive will erase the entire drive so back up any desired files. This will successfully install windows 7.
