My father is 95% blind, and uses a Qosmio g10-133 which he finds excellent for viewing. (NB we have bought him HD Dells, and HP full HD but none of these worked for his sight?) Unfortunately his computer has suddenly developed a problem. Instead of displaying black back screens, all of these screens are now red? What do we need to do please. thanks Steve

SOURCE: Screen display has gotten smaller.

Well this is unusual & interesting.. (sic)I can still see the entire window(sic) I wonder if somehow the Display Drivers have gotten Screwed up.. Try un-installing your graphics hardware Drivers, then re-install the latest Drivers for your system. Of course B4 ya do any of that try adjusting your windows display to any other resolution and see if this changes things.. SOURCE: Qosmio G25 Does not boot to windows

I extremely recommend DON'T do anything to the computer. Unless you plan on buying a new one anyways, don't bother fixing it on your own. blue screens are caused by one of hundreds of thousands of problems.

take the computer to a near by repair center and have them EXAMINE it. many of the issues can be solved, but be sure the is one of those cases. then get a quote on how much it will cost to fix.

You will need to do a Backup Before all your files are lost.
Good Luck

SOURCE: Qosmio G35 full restore

The recovery disk provided when purchased are FAIL. You have to purchase working disk from Toshiba for 30.00 plus shipping. I think this is bogus but they won't budge.

On normal KEYBOARD FN key is missing, haw can emulate it ? Thanks and Best Regard ! PAUL.

That's actually a pretty interesting question. Let me see what I can find for you.
"Go into the BIOS by tapping F2 on bootup. I am not sure on this specific model, but on most Dells I've seen an option in the BIOS that is like "key to be used as FN on external keyboard" and it allows you to select ALT, CTRL, or none. None is usually default." (source)

Drivers softwares

Hi Ajoydasco,

You should try this link:
http://driverscollection.com/?H=Qosmio%20E10&By=Toshiba
There you can find the drivers you need for your computer, go to the second page and you will find the Audio, Lan, Modem and Video for your pc. Download them all, make sure that they are viruses free by scanning them and then install them.

Tell me if the link works for you, or if you need help.

I have Qosmio E15 and it wont boot

Go here: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT And download the drive fitness test, burn it to a .ISO bootable CD, and boot from the disc. Run a FULL SCAN and it will tell you if the HDD is bad, which is highly likely.
