I have a 4510s and had this problem before.
Part of the problem was synaptics driver was freezing, Driver
Synaptics software upgrade may help if that is part of your problem.
Have you opened the notebook to upgrade or remove the HDD for any reason?
If so, you should make sure the plastic of the palmrest (which houses
the touchpad mouse) has been correctly fitted back in place. It may also
help to remove the palmrest and ensure the flexible cable is correctly
inserted in the ZIF connector.
I also notice there are some contact points from the PC to the underside
of the trackpad, it may pay to clean those with metho to make sure the
electrical connection is good.
I am using HP Pavilion dv6, My touch pad mouse keeps freezing on me, it work for a a few minutes and then freeze. Any Suggestions please?
