Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
If it locks immediately, the locking motor in the drivers door is doing the locking. Sometimes due to the manual locking knob getting stuck. If it locks 5-10 minutes after the door is closed, your remote control needs to be reprogrammed.

After some research I have attached a clickable PDF file for you to check out. It is a for a Sanyo Remote Control. Give these codes a try. If it is not for your exact remote control, my best guess is that SANYO remotes all share the same codes. It's worth a try.

Believe it or not, the information and instructions for reprogramming your particular model of vehicle is provided in your owner's manual. The dealer does not need to be involved unless you have lost all your programmed and programmable keys.
