- unplug everything form the back of the computer: power cable, mouse, keyboard, monitor, network cable & speakers, printer, camera (all usb)
- hold down power button for 10 secs (power cycle)
- plug in power, keyboard, mouse, network & monitor.. BUT NOT printer yet
- it it turns on, you can reconnect all other devices
- if it doesnt turn on still, call manufacturer or bring it to repair shop.. possible motherboard problem

Very good in checking if your computers' USB ports are working. Now that you know that your computer's USB ports are working, try your USB device on his computer and check if it'll work there. If it also doesn't work there, then it'll be your USB device that's not being read.

Hello,
Try resetting the MP3 Player. Turn it on, connect to your computer, press and hold the play button for 10 seconds and disconnect from your computer. wait 5 seconds and connect back to your computer. When charging always leave the MP3 player in the on position.
