if the power LED is flashing green then there is a circuit or board that either has a blown fuse or relay. if it comes on solid red when you turn on the television then the Lamp inside is burned out and needs replaced. Before you spend all the money that changing the bulb would cost i would invest that money in a good LED Smart TV instead. Sometimes you just gotta let that old technology go away.
When you put the old lamp back in did the picture look OK? If so why did you replace to begin with? Yes, there are some poorly manufactured lamps out there, where did you obtain the replacement? Was it true OEM?
let it start up you will here things happening, engine will start first then a buzz to start the lamp if you here all of this you have a bad lamp. You should have a error code let the tv try to start leave it alone and see if you have an error. As soon as you reset the tv you loose the error.
Hi,
looked up owners manual that was a waste of time, hmm the number one issue on this type of set is issues with the lamp. How old is it? Has it ever been replaced? Sometimes a visual inspection of lamp can fool you, but typically as they age a milky haze develops on the lamps glass or if it popped the lamp will be shatttered inside. Can't hurt to check it. make sure set is unplugged first just to be safe.
that means your lamp it is getting to the end of its life. sometimes even if the lamp still good the TV will send you that message because that timer is closed to 5000 hours
What you can do is open the lamp door, closed again and the tv will ask you if you replaced it the lamp, and just say yes and that sign will go away
I'm going to guess that this unit is a DLP projection set and that the lamp is not new. Try a new lamp. The heat of the lamp will char over time. If not the lamp, some of the internal filters in the light engine might be getting effected by heat and require replacement.
