Call Waiting How do I answer call waiting on this phone?

the same button you use to answer it.
Then when you want to join calls , you click it again...

If you have call waiting activated by your cell phone company [ you many times have to call them ans tell them to activate it].
Once you have the call waiting activated: there are several ways to activate call waiting.
1- You're in a call and hear the 'call waiting beep' - Simply push the TALK button or the button used for TALK on that particular phone.

If you make a call and want to put some one on hold for any reason simply hit TALK after they answer the phone.

If you subscribe to both Caller ID and Call Waiting with Caller ID
services, the 2nd caller's information is displayed after you hear the call
waiting tone on the handset.
1 Press {R} to answer the 2nd call.
2 To switch between calls, press {R}.

hi, the call waiting is just there for you to know that someone else is trying to reach you...but its not possible for you to pick two calls at a time...you can only answer one..so, if someone important is trying to reach you while you are on call, the call waiting will let you know..it is now left to you to decide if you want to answer it or not.

Adding call waiting as a feature to your telephone can help you take calls that you are waiting for without having to stay off the phone until that important call comes in. With call waiting, you get a beep when you are on another call to let you know that another call is coming in. If you want to take the call, you follow the simple steps outlined in this article.

1. ep 1 Order call waiting from your phone provider if you do not already have it. Cal waiting works best with caller ID features that give you the phone number and name of the person calling you. Phone numbers that have blocked numbers or use *67 to mask their caller ID will not show up on caller ID.
   
2. Step 2 Take a call when your phone rings. While you are talking on the phone and hear a beep, you are receiving another phone call. Using your caller ID function, whether it's on your answering machine or on your handset for the telephone, see who is calling you. If you want to talk to them, quickly press your "talk" button to put the other call on hold or disconnect. Press "talk" again to take the incoming call.
   
3. Step 3 Disregard the other phone call if you do not want to terminate the call you are on. The new call coming in may go to your answering machine. Or if you have the call back feature on your telephone, you can simply call *69. Your phone will dial the number of the person whose call you just missed.
   
4. Step 4 Use call waiting as politely as you can. You might tell someone who you are talking to that you are expecting an important call and may have to terminate the call abruptly. Call waiting calls should be answered as quickly as you can. After four rings, most phone calls go right to the machine or people hang up. Promise to call your first caller back if you have to interrupt the call
   

hello shaziniaz how to use your call waiting function is when you are on a call or when you are talking to someone on your phone there will be a beeping sound in your ear just tell the person you are talking with to hold on, and must look if the a call coming in you will see hold and answer you put the person on hold and then press answer and talk with person and call waiting after you finish you press back hold and talk back to the person you was talking with before. thank have a lovely day

THere are two answers to you question, depending on certain options and conditions.

First, where is the voice mail and where is the call waiting coming from?

1. If Voice Mail (VM) is located in the central office and you have a destination for call forward BUSY/NO ANSWER it will go to CO VM.

2. If Voice Mail on premise (Partner Mail), and you have CF BUSY/NO ANSWER set on your phone, it will go to voice mail....IF the call waiting is coming from another line. The CF and ring count is set in Partner system programming.

3. If you have call waiting coming on the same phone line and don't have CO VM, then you have no voice mail.

My CO codes for VM are 72# for Call Forwarding and *92 for CF Busy.

I have a jwin jt-p590 and I have no idea how to use the voicemail/answer machine it's equipped with. Is there some sort of button scheme I'm supposed to press. I threw away the manual to it. Sorry I don't have an answer for your problem, but you seem pretty witty from the answers I saw you give to other ppl. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out.

Using Call Waiting
If you have Call Waiting service and a second call comes in when you are on the phone, a call waiting tone will
sound. Press [ /Flash] to accept the waiting call. There is a short pause, and then you will hear the new caller. To
return to the original caller, press [ /Flash].
Note: You must subscribe to Call Waiting service for this feature to operate. Not all features are available in all areas.

check your phone settings and if u do not want call waiting,disable it manually
