We had our Kenmore Freezer on top delivered this morning. It hasn't stopped running yet 9 hours later. Is this normal? There is a sticker inside that say to "Allow 24 hours for adjustments."

As it was delivered this morning you should have left it upright/unpluged for 24 hours,then switched it on.switching it on staight away will not harm it but it will take its own time to settle down to the set temperature.also make sure the seals fit flat all round.and the unit sits square (use a spirit level and adjust feet if required.)may sound minor but some units run noisy if out of square.....

Did you leave it standing upright for 24 hours after delivery?

Yes, after just 4 hours it should have reached 0'F or -18'C. Now you know why they were selling it. You need a service call. My guess is that it had a small leak and it needs topping up with refrigerant gas. Or you could leave it off 24 hours and see if the liquid part of the gas settles?

Sounds normal. A fridge will cycle on and off regularly to maintain the temperature correctly. If it kept running non stop, it would turn the fridge into a freezer.

You have condesation built up in your freezer whereby the evaporator fan or the vents are most likely blocked off.

Turn fridge off. Empty freezer and either put a pot of boiling water inside freezer or with the aid of a hair dryer try to defrost the freezer. If you are able to remove the back panel on the freezer that would be ideal as you can directly target the frost.

Hello! I have an old model Kenmore 21 CF. The fresh food part of the refrigerator (the freezer seems fine) is not cold enough. Last night at 11:30pm I turned it from setting 5 to 7 (9 being the coldest)....
Check to see if the fan in the freezer is running, without it you get no cooling in refrigerator. If that's ok check for ice buildup on back freezer wall if so you have a defrost problem
