Music skipping Just purchased 8gb Fuze. After fully charging the battery the songs some times skip during play. It is happening on songs that were preloaded and songs I have downloaded. Any fix? I am downloading using Rhapsody To Go.

    I found that some earphones make the audio skip or break up. I changed to a set of ear buds and it went away. May have been too much load for amp.

    Reformatting did not work and ear buds were not the solution either.

Hmm. The hard drive itself could be messed up. The hard drive can easily be formatted by right clicking and formatting it. Though I am taking the easy way out here to fix the problem.

I found some issues with the file transfers using windows media player 10 toggling back and forth must have created issues in the tranfer because after i extracted the files and reinstalled them they played correctly

Song skipping on iPod
maybe they got corrupted try putting them on the music player again or try getting the same songs but diff versions of the file and you could try last to convert the songs to a diff format then put them on the player if its the the same songs on both the players that wont play then its the songs and not the player

IPOD mini won't play purchased music unless 100% charged
I've called Apple support on this before. They told me to make sure that the Ipod is set for Manually manage music in the Ipod settings of ITunes. You should restore all software in your IPod to factory settings before doing this.

IPod mini battery dies when nearly fully charged, often while skipping songs.
iPod batteries are cheap on ebay...like $5...and come with installation instructions. Try installing a new battery and see what happens...?

Skipping songs
This generally happens when the music is encoded at a low "bitrate", its called clipping. Only solution is to remove the songs from the device. Best of Luck.
