Washing machine not spinning

HI! base in your complaint and explanations! i find the problem is the motor belt... maybe this is too loose belt... you can replaced a new one replacement belt... and make sure when you replace the belt is the same size in the original!

Will not agitate or spin, belt is fine. Motor is not turning, just making a humming noise. Is the motor bad or are there brushes that can be replaced or.....?

move the belt to see if it is not jammed and spins the rotor. If that is the case, the Humming noise is then an indication of a burned motor and not from a good motor trying to drive a jammed belt.

The drum seems to bang the side of the machine when starting a spin cycle, the drum also seems to lean over slightly

This is usually caused by an unbalanced load. You will want to stop the machine ASAP when you hear the "banging" noise, and reposition the clothing or towels, whatever you have in the washer at the time, to create a balanced load. If this doesn't help, I would suggest calling a repairman.

Washing machine noisey when drum turning

Hi, Try these out:
  1. Balance the load
  2. Level the machine
  3. Inspect the water pump for a blockage
  4. Inspect the coupling
  5. Inspect the transmission
  6. Adjust the drive belt tension
  7. Check the motor bearings
  8. Check the drum brakes

Loud banging noise durning washing machine spin cycles.

First plug off the wall. Open the machine from behind to examine if any shock-absorbers(known as dampers) or springs have come off or broken. Your dealer could help with spares. But you could do the job yourself.

For spares:
RepairClinic.com (which is good)
espares.co.uk
