Ok This is how to troubleshoot the TV, there are lights on the front and you are mainly concerned with two of these lights (the power light and the OPC light). I) If non of the lights come on then this is a AC Power failure (There is a loose connection or you need to check the Power/Inverter unit or the Main unit) II) If the power light is blinking at a rate of one blink per min and the OPC light is off (then there is a CCFL backlight problem) III) If the power light is blinking at a rate of two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of one time per min (13V/UR10V failure you need to check the Power/inverter board or the main board). IV) If the power light is blinking at a rate or two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of two times per min (3.3V Main Failure check power/inverter board or Main board). V) If the power light is blinking at a rate or two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of three times per min (UR6V failure check power/inverter board or Main board). VI) If the power light is blinking at a rate or two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of Five times per min (Panel 5V failure check LCD control unit or control panel).

HI I have a Sharp 42D65U tv that is flashing twice with the power and opc then once with the power in just over 1 sec , not what you said above at every minute. So do you know what this code is. I think I have all the voltages you described but I don;t get the 12v to the t-con board. I just want to know which board to replace or remove and look at more closely to see if any of the solder joints have cracked. Thanks Craig

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Replacing a tv fuse 8A 250v with an 1/2-Amp 250v

Load fuses are rated. The ratings will be marked at the PCB, very near to the fuse holder. Do not use a fuse, which have more ampere ratting than specified. It will make things worse. If fuse burns out, as soon as the set is switched ON, be sure that there must be some shorted component/s at the power supply regulator section circuit. Check and rectify the fault first, before inserting an other fuse of same rating.

How to set clock clok tcr368

Setting the CLOK TCR368 is done by having the unit:
Turned OFF - The power button is located at the top left face of the unit.
Press and hold the CLOCK/DISPLAY/PLAY/PAUSE button for at least 4 seconds. (It is located to the right of the power button at the upper left corner of the unit.) Do not let go of the button.
While holding down the CLOCK/DISPLAY/PLAY/PAUSE button, press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to the correct time.
Release thethe CLOCK/DISPLAY/PLAY/PAUSE button.

The backup battery is to keep the clok circuit running in case of a power failure and can't be used to power the radio.

With the unit OFF, press and hold the FUNCTION button (located between the ipod slot and the snooze button) for at least 2 seconds. The display will flash either 12 hour or 24 hour depending what mode it is in.
Release the FUNCTION button and press it once to change the mode.
Press again to cycle between the 12 hour and 24 hour mode.
When the display indicates the mode you prefer, simply wait 2 seconds for the clock to go into that mode without pressing anything.
