Motorola RAZR V3:Can't delete each and every voicemail (new or stored) when directed to press #7. Also can't prevent hearing the date and time for each voicemail. What is the solution?

You have to be logged in to the voicemail system to delete any message. There is no other way. You don't have to listen to it, you can press 7 as soon as the message starts to play or starts to give you time and number...

If your wife never reset the codes when she used the phone, the "unlock" 4 digit PIN code is usually 1234, or sometimes the service provider resets it to the last 4 digits of your cell phone's number before sending it to you.
The SECURITY code is a 6 digit code which is set to "000000" when the phone is first sent to you and since your wife never used it that should still be it. I'd try entering 000000 for the "invalid security code" message you are getting and see if that does it. Some service providers may reset that security code before sending the phone to you too, so if any of those codes don't work you'll have to call your cell phone service provider to find out the codes. This info about all the codes was in my Razr V3 manual. Hope it helps.  If that does work for you and you can get into voicemail, then to reset the codes to your own personal ones go to ....Settings > Security > New Passwords and reset them.
If you get to the voicemail message screen and the message  stored there, (it's probably a message from the service provider) you have to call the voicemail number to retrieve the message, I just  press the keypad "dot" on the top right side under where it will say "call " and it dials & brings me to my voicemail.  The voicemail number should be stored in the phone, but because it was never set up you may have to call the provider to do so, I can't remember if it was already in there or not when I first set my phone up. go to menu/settings/intial setup/DTMF - set it to continous then try the voicemail and try deleting the msgs again.

There is no option in the phone that will allow you to set the amount of rings before it will go to voicemail. If you want it to go directly to your voicemail you can always turn off the phone or ignore the call. This would take them directly to voicemail.

sellect initial set-up
and select time and date.
you can now set the time and date of your fone...

This is a common problem, most often fixed by calling your voicemail from another phone and checking the messages. Call your mobile, press * when the voicemail answers, and then enter your pin code. If you don't have any voicemails, leave one first, then call back from the outside line and clear them out.

go to menu settings call divert and divert status and check your mail box number

Go to settings,initial setup,time and date. change it to "off" on autoupdate.You'll get more options. You can change the date and time then.

Changing the voicemail message would entirely depend on your provider - how they set it up for you and how you can setup your own message. They must have a specific number you can dial to set your voicemail message. This setting is not available on your phone; rather voicemail messages on the voicemail server of your provider. So, the best way out would be contact the provider. Cheers
