I have a Mitsubishi HD1080 television. All of a sudden, when I try to turn it on, it turns itself off after about 2 seconds... not even long enough for the picture to appear. The green light comes on, but then turns off after 2 seconds. Any ideas?

Ok, try this first. After attempting to turn on set after it shuts off push and hold the MENU and INPUT buttons at the same time on the front of the set for 10 seconds. This should acccuate the self diagnostics function in the micro and the power LED should start blinking a two sequence code. That code will narrow things down.
Try to access the self diagnosis feature, by pushing the input/device and menu buttons in on the set itself and hold them both in together for 8 seconds to see if the led will blink a two digit code. If it doesnt that means the processor isnt powered so therefore its a standby voltage issue thos are usually easy to track down Try the proceedure to access the diagnosis feature then let me know the results.
Check to see if all the fans are running. The fans are needed to cool the engine off while it is running. Double check the fan for the DMD board for this fan is a common problem.
