The only operations available on the JSI JS4110 without a remote are play, pause, stop, and eject. Since this DVD player "remembers" position of the movie, a different DVD would have to be inserted and played to start that movie over from the beginning. As for fast-forward, this is only available with the remote.

If you wish to get more details; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Common set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the "device's brand name list" in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts.

How do you program into the dvd that you want it to fast forward quickly? There is a way but am not sure how it is done.

You don't, you just press the FORWARD button on remote during DVD playback to 'fast forward' (pressing this button a second time during playback increases forward scan speed). The forward and reverse buttons have 'SLOW/SEARCH' printed above them on the remote. The other buttons next to them are the PREV/NEXT buttons (SKIP/INDEX).

DVD playback speed/skip/search is mostly a manual user function; it cannot be auto set.

I can't seem to be able to fast forward any more than twice speed. I know there is some way I can program it that it allows me to be able to do that but I can't seem to find in the manual where I...

Hi Henry,

  1. Usually DVD players DVD players come along with remote controls which have fast forward buttons which have the icon as ">>" .
  2. All you need to do , is press the button as per your requirement of fast forwarding.
  3. If you press the one, you would get a message as x2 on the TV screen and if you again press it , it would display x3 and if you press the button again it would show x4 , that is the maximum speed you can have usually for fast forwarding.
  4. So the solution is to keep pressing the button multiple times to change the fast forward speed.

Hopet his helps ...Your feedback would be appreciated.

Fast forwarding movies and listening to movies without headphones

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/2384/Advent-Video-Mobile-Adv38.html#manual There is no speaker in this unit, so it's headphones only. The unit is not wired to an always hot fuse. Find a fuse that is always hot even when cranking the engine and the player won't start the movie over.
