Fuse Where do I find the fuse. Thanks Rick

Go to Chilton's Manuals...online or in an auto repair store.

Go to your local auto parts store and check the mannule for your cars make and model.

If your unit is a whirlpool or a kenmore or a maytag remove the rear panel behind the rear panel you will find a thermal fuse usually two blue wires connect to it. If you have a multimeter perform a continuity test on the fuse to assure that the fuse is good if you dont make sure the power is off unplug both wires then plug the machine in and touch both wires together breifly while someone else attempts to start the dryer. If the dryer starts then you know the fuse is bad do not run your unit this way without replaceing the fuse you will cause damage to the unit if it runs this way for an extended duration. yes their is a fuse. either a 20 amp or 15 amp fuse. you need to ohm the fuse out to see if it is good

There are 2 internal fuses for the Asko washer, on the 20004 model they are located at the back next to the power cord...

i.e.


To remove and check the fuses you`ll need a flat/slotted screwdriver and place it in the slot of the fuse holder and turn them left 1/4 turn and pull out.



**The above is an image for removing the dryer fuse, but the same procedure applies**

Once removed this is what you should see...



I would also suggest removing the top of the washer to visually inspect the condition of the wires as a poor connection can cause the fuses to blow.

i.e.



The replacement part is a 240v 15 amp slow blow fuse. part number will be as listed below and it is a complete kit available at "repairclinic.com"

Make sure you test the fuse with a contiuity tester for a good link. Either that or just replace the fuse and make sure it seats firmly into the socket.

WOW...there should be a relay or fuse for those and the owners manual should show it. Thake the fuse cover off and sometime they are marked on the back of the panel....good luck.

No. It must be 6mm t&e cable from the wall socket to the cooker. To use anything else will rick getting an electric shock.

Check the 5amp fuse on the bottom of your fuse block. My 96 did the same thing. The fuse is labeled backup.

Try JAYCAR www.jaycar.com.au take the fuse into the store. You should get something to do the job. Be aware that the fuse may have blown for a reason and may be an indication of something more serious.
