Though I have all my contacts stored in PHONE memory of Nokia 3600 slide yet I cannot view them using Contacts search option.Moreover I cannot copy the contacts to Outlook Express or Nokia PC suite.

JUST USE THE MOVE PHONE TO SIM CONTACTS OPTION ...YOU CAN GET NUMBER OF CONTACTS.

This could arise as a result of two things.
First thing, if the default contacts are the sim contacts and then there are no contacts stored to the phone memory. You have to set it up to show the sim contacts as the default or phone contact(depending on which memory is having the contacts). Better still, you can copy the contacts from your sim to phone memory.
secondly, since you are sure that it is stored to the phone, and it still doesn't show, it is as a result of storing the contact with two different names. Possibly when you changed the sim into the new phone, it made some changes to the contacts and saved them from your sim to your phone memory. As a result, there are 2 names for one number and the phone cannot pick which to show. The number has to be stored with a particular name both on phone and sim memory.

The problem you are experiencing occurs when you store your contacts on your Sim card and the memory in use is your phone memory or vice versa

what you should do is this;

In your contacts settings copy your contacts into your phone memory and set your memory in use to phone memory

You wouldn't experience this problem anymore

when you go to contacts you will have an option copy from phone to sim or move from phone to sim and vice versa

Make sure that the memory is selected as phone and sim to view contacts in it

hiiiiiiii first of all delete all the contact in sim memeory by performing following step.
goto contact>>then on option>>sim contacts>>sim directory and see all the sim contact and the one you wanna delete delete their.and if you want to keep all the contact then make a folder in memory card by
goto menu>>tools>>file manager>>memory card>>make a new folder contact. and copy your contact to memory card.then put your memory card in card reader and from memory card to computer

Press the Contacts button. You will see a list of contacts on your phone. Select any contact and press Options. Within Options, select Copy. You will have atleast 3 options namely To Sim Card, To Memory Card and From Memory Card. The first 2 options will allow you to backup your contacts to either of these devices, while the third will be used to copy from the memory card to another phone.

Search for the contact you want to copy and select Options > Copy. You can copy

names and phone numbers from the phone contact memory to the SIM card

memory, or vice versa. The SIM card memory can save names with one phone

number attached to them.

Try copying the sim contacts to the phone memory contact.
