Saeco Via Venezia Weak Steam Flow. After pressing the steam button, waiting for the light to come on, and twisting the steam release, visible steam only comes out for about 3-5 seconds after which the green light goes off, and a weak invisible moderately hot steam comes out of the steamer. This weak steam is not powerful enough to froth the milk. Is there a way to ensure that the stronger visible steam lasts for the full 30 seconds needed to froth the milk correctly? Thanks.

It sounds like a heating element has gone out, you have seriously hard water that has damaged the system or you have a burned circuit. Without doing something I would not recommend with that type of system your only real choice would be to send it back for repair. If it is brand new it should have a 1 year warranty.
This is usually a sign it needs a de-scale. you can get a de-scale solution from most coffee machine retailers. Vinegar can be to harsh and ruin your seals. After frothing your milk make sure you let some steam through without milk to clear milk that can be sucked up wand. You can get cleaning instructions of Saeco web site. Good luck
Can you get hot water and hot coffee from the machine? If yes, then check the thermostats on the boiler, it is possible that the one for the steam could be damaged. Check the schematic below I know its a gaggia model but its close.
Can you get hot water from machine, if yes then it is posible that the booster tank for the steam valve is damaged. If no then you need to descale machine.
