exactly same problem but i've loaded xp sp3

  • afrazier1 Sep 01, 2008

same problem, different operating system. Windows 2000 asking for initialization. When it boots, first thing it says is pen initialized and mouse initialized. By the time I get to windows....no pen! I feel this is somehow related to the mouse function but how do you get the system to plug the driver for the pen into the mouse hardware display? If the pen showed up there then I know the thing would work.

First install fujitsu's driver and THEN the CiC drivers, just look in your device manager and search for Unknown Dvice or CIC PenX Filter Driver then install the Fujistu driver when thats done install the CIC drivers. Please note that the driver has some incompatibles in Windows XP Sp2/3 (the callibration tool does not work and with bootup i will give you an error(not critical))

Good Luck :)

Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic ST4120 Tablet PC pen not working with screen

I just fixed this problem on the 4120 for a friend, What I did was first to install the drivers from the Fujitsu site so XP was displaying all drivers as installed in Device manager.

Then I ran windows update to patch it up to date and then I downloaded the drivers from the wacom site.

http://www.wacom.com/en/support/drivers

Then choose tablet pc from the first drop down and then os (xp in my case) from the second drop down.
Reboot
Pen working!

Purchased Fujitsu Stylistic ST5112 online, works great but my wife changed the password and now doesn't remember it so we cant get it to open for use. We need to reset or delete password so it can be...

If is is a Windows login password, just reinstall the Operating System and forgo the use of passwords (if you can't remember them). If it is password on boot (before even Windows loads) there is nothing you can do about it, except take it to Fujitsu Certified Service Center to have the password erased.

I have a Fujitsu Stylistic ST5032D Tablet PC and would want to run windows 7 or windows vista on it. is that possible? thanks wilson

Hi Wilson. Yes, it is possible.
First install all given drivers from Windows Update. This will make everything functional except for sound and graphics.

1. To get sound working, go to Fujitsu Driver Download, select "Sound" driver from ST5032D page and install (it's for WinXP but works perfectly)

2. Getting the Intel Chipset 915GM driver is tricky, there are no updates or support for Windows 7. However, some good-guy has succeed in hacking last WinXP driver to fit Win7 requirements. Download it from --> http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IUY33KQA. Uncompress, run install.bat and voilà!

3. Buttons and functions. Download and install drivers from ST5112 (button driver, button utilities, hotkey driver, hotkey utilities) as stated from another post in FixYa.

Hope this post helps other users,

If i buy a fujitsu 3500 tablet computer with no operating system. what operating system does it need to operate correctly?

Hi,

You might try Windows NT and windows 2K as well as windows 98 because the drivers were available over the support site http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Portal/supportsearch.do?srch=DOWNLOADS or better try to purchase a recovery cd from fujitsu .

Fujitsu Stylistic 3500 Pen calibration in XP Tablet Edition

Well there is a few ways to try to fix it first with a usb mouse check that the resolution is at it's native pixel count. This can be found on the manufacture website. If it is already at that resolution ensure that the CIC XPen drivers are installed. Those should have placed a recalibration program in the control panel. If those both fail, try uninstalling the drivers and restarting, then reloading the drivers. Hope this helps! food luck and godspeed!

Fujitsu LT C-500 pen not working

Hello Zerozero, I hope to be of some assistance to you... I myself have the same tablet and just recently successfully upgraded to XP. Apparently due to licensing issues the pen driver isn't allowed to run on XP. To make it work there's two ways, the hard way involving a software download and much pain, the other way is 'relitivly' easy... lets try that way first. Download the CIC XPen off of the Fujitsu support site... now here comes the interesting part. Unpack the driver to C:\Drivers\Pen once you've unpacked it find the file called fujpen.inf open it in notepad to edit it. You will see:
[ControlFlags] ExcludeFromSelect=*FUJ02B6
Make sure the last digit is 6 in that string... this is saying to exclude that model in the driver. If it's anything other than a 6 change it to a 6. Now then... further down you'll see:
[FPC.Mfg] %FPC.DeviceDesc0% = pendrv, *FUJ02B6
Now... remember what I said about the 6 above? Yeah... the driver is fighting with itself, help it out and change the last number to a 7. Save the .inf file. Go to your device manager right click on the unknown device and update it with the modified file... and presto changeo your touchscreen works!! Now... you'll notice that when you restart it will still say that the pen cannot be started... but this should only limit the CIC software from starting... meaning that to actually write on your tablet you'll need to install microsoft office... it has built in writing pad software, and dictation software (which is my personal favorite). Good luck and God speed! If you have any problems let me know!

Win XP on Fujitsu stylistic lt c-500

Ok... after much slaving, trial and error, and just plain getting frustrated I finally figured out how to install XP on a Fujitsu Stylistic LT c-500 with EVERYTHING working!! The installation is difficult and time consuming but well worth it. Getting XP on the blasted thing is part of the difficult uphill battle... but Mr. Mark Rehorst does a wonderful job of explaining it here. Follow the directions carefully keeping in mind that you MUST have the cd-key for the EXACT CD you use... and that to install XP and get everything to work you really need at least a 20gb hdd and 256mb ram. Without those your system will be slow. Next once XP is up and 'running' you'll notice that your touchscreen is not working.
Now for the other unknown device in there, it is called the Fujitsu FUJ02B1 Device Driver. Unfortunately Fujitsu dosen't include a driver for this... but if you google search it you should come across driverguide.com and they'll have it. You will have to sit through a few ads to get it... but wow... the world that is unlocked by xp on this tiny little pad is amazing! Good luck!

Pen Problem

First try updating to SP2 and then get the latest Windows Updates from Microsoft.com.

If that doesn't fix it, here are some Win2000 drivers for your laptop.

http://www.fujitsupc.com/www/content/exe/PenW2k1.4.exe
http://www.fujitsupc.com/downloads/mobile/st3400_pen_w2k.exe

If that doesn't fix it, try these Wacom drivers.
