Hotpoint FFA71 fridge and freezer suddenly stopped working
Sounds as though the compressor has stopped working. It feeds both compartments with control from a printed circuit above the top door.Where all your red lights are ablaze! (This can be replaced by removing the 2 screws and "clicking" out the small panel) Check that the compressor is running at the bottom rear of the fridge/freezer before anything else.

1. You may need to add freon.
2. It may have a faulty thermostat.

It seems you need hands on service!

My 2 year old maytag bottom freezer refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling. the compressor clicks of an on but will not engage. the fan is running
The Overlaod and relay is burnt and has to be replaced .I am a appliance service technician i have seen this lots and if that don,t work check the warranty cause the compressor is bad .
