Hv acer aspire 5532 laptop my arrows are getting stuck n ihv problems with the keypad/keyboard.this laptop is gifted me by my frnd n she bought it from london.so i want to know wer shld i get it done .n so for tht i need the service centers in mumbai...also my touchpad is functioning properly...

This is more than likely. Your local computer repair shop will be able to advise.

replace the keyboard , only 2 screws on the under site , cost +/- 100 dollar

Might give this a try-right click on your Computer icon-click on Properties-then click on Device Manager. The keyboard is listed there. If it has a yellow exclamation point, or a yellow question mark, then there is a problem. Click on the arrow in front of Keyboards, then right click on the drop down named keyboard. There you can click on update drivers. That should solve the problem.

Click "Start." Click "Control Panel" in the right panel.

Click "Accessibility Options."

Clear the boxes next to "Use Sticky Keys," "Use FilterKeys" and "Use ToggleKeys."

Click "OK" to unlock the keyboard, including the keypad.
Unlock Touchpad

Click "Start," then "Control Panel."

Click "hardware and Sound," then "Mouse."

Click the "Touchpad" tab. Click "Default" under the "Touchpad" tab to reset the touchpad to its original settings.

I would suggest trying an external keyboard for your laptop (like a USB or wireless device) You may have a problem with the keyboard on your laptop, which it easily enough fixed. If you don't see the problem with the external keyboard, then I would replace the keyboard. Since you can get a whole keyboard for many laptops for $20 or less (like on ebay or the like) that might be a quick and easy fix. Replacing the keyboard is often just a few screws, and maybe takes 15 minutes to do.

Tap the F8 at the time of startup and get to advanced boot options. Select safemode with the arrow keys on keyboard and tap enter. Try to login. If yes, try a system restore. If no, try last known good configuration. If that also is not helping, then try an OS reinstallation.

OK you need to clean the keyboard. prop open the arrow key with your fingers and scrub it with a paper down. Prop open gently

I think you have disabled them.
There should be a key to enable mouse and keypad.

press the button to the left of the power button and it should work again.
