THT-3017HDMI to hook with TV.
Get RCA Cables, red and white from your DSTV straight to your DVD.

The Yellow (Video) Straight from your DSTV to your TV yellow input.
Set your TV to Input 1 or 2 depending on the port you used. PLease but your volume will be only controlled via DVD, if you switch your TV off it will still sound the TV channels via DVD speakers,

Aim 60 Inch Digital UHD. There is no sound from my dstv HDMI connection only, picture is fine, decoder tested by dstv fine, other HDMI inputs work fine, I know the HDMI cables are fine. please assist.

If you're not getting any sound from your DSTV decoder when connected to your Aim 60 Inch Digital UHD TV via HDMI, there are a few things you can try:
  1. Check your TV settings: Make sure that your TV's audio settings are set correctly. Check that the volume is turned up and that the TV speakers are not muted or turned off. Also, make sure that the TV is set to receive audio through the HDMI input.
  2. Check your DSTV settings: Make sure that your DSTV decoder is set to output audio through the HDMI connection. You can usually check this in the settings menu on the decoder.
  3. Try a different HDMI input: If you have other HDMI inputs on your TV, try connecting the DSTV decoder to a different one to see if the problem persists. This will help to narrow down whether the issue is with the HDMI input on your TV or with the DSTV decoder.
  4. Try a different HDMI cable: Even if you think your HDMI cable is fine, it's possible that there is an issue with it that is causing the sound problem. Try a different HDMI cable to see if that resolves the issue.
If none of these steps solve the issue, it's possible that there is a problem with the HDMI input on your TV. In that case, you may need to contact Aim customer support for further assistance or consider bringing the TV to a repair shop.

DStv has launched its new DStv Now app for Samsung smart TVs and Android boxes, which allows you to stream DStv content directly to your TV, without theneed for a decoder. ... With DStv Now, you can stream on two devices simultaneously (like Showmax), but remember that you've probably got the decoder sitting there too.

How do I make my TV play in Telefunken 5.1 Home Theatre THT-6000HDMIA speakers?

Does the TV and system have either a coaxil or optical sockets? If it does then I would connect them by one of these. That should trigger the sound. However it might work via the HDMI if you have selected the system to pass digital signals via that connection.

Ghosting of picture from a Panasonic home cinema system

There must be a fault in the screening of the internal wiring to the scart outlet in the home theatre system. I simply changed the way the player was connected to the TV and the interference disappeared:-

1.) I used the RCA video outlet instead of the scart lead. Picture quality was not compromised. FYI the Panasonic Plasma TV I have has only RGB video input sockets at the back, so I used a scart to RCA adaptor to overcome this problem of connecting old technology to new.

2.) The surround sound when playing DVDs is generated directly from the home theatre system so there was no need to connect the audio from the home theatre system to the TV

3.) I used a pair of RCA leads to connect the "audio out" from the TV to the "audio in"on the home theatre system to provide the option of TV sound through the home theatre system.
