Main setup menu froze on screen unable to remove, also TV just stays on have to unplug from outlet. Press Rest button, and home button on remote nothing happens. Do have background channel TV from cox cable...

If the model number posted here is correct (vs-70707) this is a VZ8 Chassis made around 2000 and should NOT have a reset button on the front.

Please confirm actual model number.

Note: almost all Mitsubishi sets have a hidden menu (two or more) and one allows with the Mitsubishi remote to enter for example the OPTION menu and there you will be able to do a HARD RESET on the set which sets ALL settings back to default.

The internal fan wont run , it will run if you flick start the internal fan with your fingers. The fan motor was replaced to no avail, could it be the triac playing up. Ross

This is the main PCB diagram of the indoor unit of LG LS-K1830 model.526bf5a.jpg

  • Check the shown capacitor. Lift one leg then connect the test leads of the ohmmeter to the capacitor terminals. Do the same with the test leads in reverse. The pointer should deflect quickly to the right then slowly deflect back to the left on both instances. Otherwise the capacitor is bad and must be replaced with the same specifications.
  • If the capacitor is good or the problem still exist after the capacitor is replaced, check the voltage between the 2 inner terminals of the motor harness 4-pin connector as shown above. Voltage should read about 5 volts. If voltage is below 5V or not present, replace the indoor unit main board assembly.
  • Check the voltage between the labeled terminals of the 5-pin connector shown above. The voltage should be about 17 volts. If voltages is below 17 volts or not present, check the connection between the indoor and outdoor unit main boards. If connection is good, replace the outdoor unit main board.

My Mitsubishi vs-5061 isn't working properly. The red crosshair wont line up with the white ones going horizontally. The red is bowing. Causing most writting to have a double vision look. HELP!

Hi, this will occur when the convergence unit has failed . you will need to replace the convergence board in this unit in order to restore proper convergence functions. This is just below the optical assembly in the PCB main area next to the signal board and terminal block.

Once power is off T.V. won't come back on

First CHECK IC700 PIN 20 (AC-OFF) FOR 0 VOLTS DC. IF HIGH, CHECK FOR LEAKY D980 PART # 264P045040 ON THE MAIN PCB. This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. MAY BE INTERMITTENT, SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK SOLDER CONNECTIONS AT CONNECTOR "DY" ON THE YOKES. 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK C411 2200 UFD 35 V AND C412 10 UFD 50 V, BOTH LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB
