The unit is NOT pulling water from the air to cause this error, yes they pull moisture out of the air and over TIME fill with water. The problem is that the unit shows the H8 error even when empty. Worked for 2 months and now just keeps popping the H8 code, EVEN THOUGH IT IS EMPTY. Unfortunately sometime you find out after buying a product that it is not quality, that is the case with Soleusair. Bad company, Bad product.
I know on other toshiba's they have to connect it to a usb or lpt1 port with a special dogel that will remove it... some laptopps and desktops use a EEROM that even if you take out the cmos battory it doesnt allays reset it.. so you might have to ship it to mfg..
ps just to make sure you took out the cmos/bois battory not the laptop battory
I think I saw the video on youtube of the guy using the dongle but know clue where to get it nor any one I know has an EEPROM programer... sorry
