Starting in safe mode means the computer is most likely OK, but there is a driver that might be messed up.
First thing to do is start in safe mode and do a system restore back to when it was working.
Next thing to do (if that doesn't work) is to start in safe mode and create a new user. Then log on as that user to see if it's something in your original profile.
You can also, while in safe mode, run the MSCONFIG command (from the command line in Windows) and go to the startup tab and uncheck everything there to determine if there are programs starting up that might be corrupt.
byteguy, have tried all of that. as I said tried new hard drive and new windows 7 install. after loading files to start windows computer shuts down. whataya think?
Hmmm. I'm thinking a memory problem here. It would figure that once you start the install, files are loaded into memory and as the process proceeds, more is written to memory.
Another possibility--you didn't mention and i didn't ask--Does this problem occur on a regular basis (like after a given amount of time?). If so, then an overheating event could cause it (for instance, if the CPU heatsink is too clogged with dirt to effectively cool the CPU.

While in Safe Mode, check for any unresolved issues in the device manager. I am leaning toward a video card/onboard issue.
have removed video card,no luck, new HD windows 7, after files load and windows tries to start computer still shuts off
byteguy has all the steps in trying to resolve this. The problem rises as Windows loads its drivers and starts services. You need to isolate the problematic one. It takes time.
You could try Ubuntu Linux on it and forget about Windows... but this is coming from a long time Linux user.

I even installed a new HD tried to load win 7 ,as soon as file are loaded and windows tries to start, it shuts down
bad mobo, replaced now all is well
